Make your own website!

Sometimes people want to make their own web site and have something of their own available online for others to see. At the same time not everyone is an expert in HTML, PHP, JavaScript and the likes. Moreover not everyone is interested (or willing to put the time and energy for that) in becoming an expert in those fields. There are cases when one would like to start, try and do something without spending any money, at least for the beginnning. Fortunately there are a number of places on the internet where this can be done. Here are a few examples:

Duda Website Mozello
WebsSarts SiteBuilder WEBS
UCraft Strikingly Hubside
WebNode ImCreator Tumblr
JIMDO SimpleSite DoodleKit
Wifeo WordPress e-monsite
WebSelf WIX Weebly
WebFlow Site123 WebSiteBuild
uKit

When one is ready to invest a minimum amount the list can grow with spots like these; where free trial may still be available, but only for a limited time:

SquareSpace Vistaprint Simvoly
web.com GoDaddy Voog
Yola BigCommerce Orson

Most of or all the places mentioned above will let you perform some kind of customization for your visitors using a mobile device instead of a computer. But the point is that even without being any expert in designing web sites or in internet technology one can still put together something of her or his own and have the world access it.

I do not have a very strong opinion on which one is the best among the sites earlier mentioned, but in practice JIMDO and WIX are the ones I have most used at this point. Preferences are linked to personal tastes and being used to one site makes it easier to use. When interested, trying and experimenting is certainly the best thing to do. I have also been doing this kind of experimentation to get to know some of them, for example making a few sites similar to this one here with WordPress, here with WebSiteBuilder, here with WebSite or in French here with SimpleSite.

The table hereafter contains a list of little web pages which have all been made using services provided by one of the sites previously mentioned.
